Pagos Spreadsheet Services (PSS) runs on a Java/J2EE application framework coupled with a java SOAP framework. Both of the frameworks can run on lightweight containers and include various advanced features without requiring a full J2EE Application Server.

- Upload workbook configurations with remote activation. They are loaded into memory for fast access.

- WSDL Generation and Customization - PSS publishes the WSDL that describes the core web service by determining the classes and their relations from the core service method and representing them in a WSDL 1.1 compliant XML schema
- Logging is possible at different levels and presentations.
Security Features
- Authorization and Authentication - Integrated role-based security model. The security module supports other security solutions (such as JAAS based security contexts where the application security management is delegated to the jEE container, LDAP, CAS).
- WS-Security - Web Services exposed by PSS are secured in compliance with WS-Security Industry standard. The Ws-Security enables security via certificates , usertokens, and timestamp checks.
